
Diane Akpovwa is a recent graduate from Penn State University who studied Human-Centered Design with a minor in Art History and a Certificate in Museum Studies. She is interested in spatial and immersive exhibition design, serving as the Founder of the Centre Film Festival Annual Virtual Reality Showcase, an initiative she has upheld since November 2024
She's worked as the Creative Director of VALLEY Magazine since Fall 2024, during which she also directed a paid campaign for Warner Bros. to promote their "Wuthering Heights" film adaptation among Penn State audiences.

Her practice is at the interstice between art and technology, and is motivated by creating introspective art experiences that promote collective healing. She brings an expansive and accessibility-driven perspective to the artistic spaces she occupies.
In addition to her digital creative practice, she also has traditional roots in painting and sculpture. She loves physical, tactile experiences and is looking to further her practice through Exhibition Design, Arts Programming and Community Organizing.
